If you’re not out spending time on the slopes, there are plenty of other activities to keep you entertained. These include ice skating, curling, indoor tennis, bowling, floodlit tobogganing, cleared walks, Alpine flights, sleigh rides, night skiing and paragliding. Or perhaps you want to relax at the great sports centre which has an indoor pool, sauna, spa, gym and solarium.
Conveniently located within walking distance to everything you need, with shops and boutiques, supermarkets, banks, ATMs and post offices on your doorstep.
Due to its prime location between the Kitzbüheler Horn and Wilder Kaiser mountains, St Johann offers many north-facing slopes, and an altitude ranging from 727-1700m. Not only does it boast a great snow record, but its varying terrain makes it perfect for groups of mixed-ability skiers.
St Johann has a modest ski area with 42.5 km of pistes serviced by 17 modern ski lifts. The fact that the mountain is easy to navigate with wide open slopes makes it a top pick for beginner skiers. For the more advanced skier, there is the option to upgrade your ski pass to include all neighbouring resorts.
St Johann in Tirol was our first PureSkiing resort way back in 1995, we liked it back then for its traditional Austrian vibe, being small enough to walk around and FUN bars. Not much has changed in St Johann since then and that’s why we love it even more today! It’s always been one of our best sellers and top beginner resort. The season kicks off Christmas week and runs through to the middle of March. During the high season our resort guides are there to insure you find your holiday is a fun filled memorable one. The guides will introduce you to the best après bars (we know more about MAX pub then MAX himself), ski with you on various slopes and show you the most secluded mountain huts. If you looking for something unique try our entertainment programme which is great fun for the whole family, dinners that are off the beat track with snow activities like ski-bobbing, tobogganing and bum boarding included! For us St Johann is not just your average ski resorts it’s our home away from home.

Enjoy over 50 restaurants in the town and 19 mountain huts on the slopes, including a wide variety of traditional and gourmet food. Some of our favourites are La Rustica, Hüber-Bråu, Masianco, Båren, Park and Post.
St Johann has a lively après-ski atmosphere and is known for its fun range of bars, restaurants and nightlife to suit all ages. Be sure to check out some favourites, including Max Pub, Båren and Hüber-Bråu tower. There is also a regular train service into Kitzbühel, 15 minutes away, which also has a great nightlife and casino.
St Johann is a great family resort with fantastic children’s facilities. The local ski-school has an excellent team of instructors for all ages and levels. Children from out of nappies can learn to ski with the Bobo Clubs, while children from 11 to 15 years can have fun developing their skills with the Junior Talent School, designed to develop racing skills.
