Saalbach was always going to be on Pure Skiing resort list. Best known for having some of Austria’s best après ski restaurants, bars and a great interconnected ski area, it was an easy choice to add it all those years ago. The village in Saalbach is small enough to never have to worry about catching public transport and the ski area is big enough to never ski the same slope twice – a mix made in heaven. With a good choice of beginner to intermediate slopes this resort will keep any South African ski enthusiast happy and for those looking for more of a ski and dop approach, there are over 40 mountain huts to enjoy a Stiegl. Saalbach is a true Austrian ski resort and exudes charm which is why we decided to make it a hosted resort over the high season.

Over the December / January period we have our SA tour guides in place, who understand our clients’ needs and have the inside information to insure you don’t miss the miss the best slopes and secret bars. Our entertainment programme is perfect for families wanting to do activities like Bum boarding, tobogganing with dinners at traditional mountain huts.
