Cervinia Village

A beautiful village centre in the Alps. Car free, compact. Skiing is right into the village
Clothing and curio shops, coffee bars, restaurants and pubs. Clubbing for the energetic.

Enough variety, yet small enough to enjoy! Within 200 metres are 20 pubs, 20 restaurants and friendly traditional people. The skiing is right into the village.

The village boasts outdoor ice skating, snowshoeing, cross country, ice carting (snow go-karts), husky dog riding, skidoo riding, and outdoor music umbrella bars.


“Chalet Etoile”: Recognized as “one of the best” mountain restaurants in the world. A must. Italian style rustic mountain food fused with exotic seafood and even a few Asian twists. Exceptional ambiance, atmosphere.

History on Cervinia

  • 1939 saw the completion of the highest ski lift in Italy- right here in Cervinia! It links Plan Maison with Testa Grigia, near the Swiss border. 2023 saw the links between Cervinia and Zermatt enabling non skiers to travel between the 2 towns without putting a pair of skis on !
  • Skiing in Cervinia isn’t just for the winter season! You can ski all year round on the Plateau Rosa Glacier.
  • The Ventina run (number 7), running from Testa Grigia to Valtournenche town, It’s a whopping 23kms!
  • The Matterhorn is one of the highest peaks in Europe.
  • The Matterhorn is also one of the deadliest peaks in the world- over 500 people have died climbing it.
  • The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing between Switzerland and Italy opened in July 2023. The cable car journey links 9 different stations on the 90-minute trip. Beginning at 1,620m in Zermatt, it climbs to the incredible views of Klein Matterhorn at 3,883m. From the peak, it descends to Breuil- Cervinia at 2,050m.
